Safety tips for those in territories governed by dictatorships

General recommendations:
! Do not use Russian services (e.g. Yandex, Mail.ru), as they may be subject to government control.
Use Tor for anonymous access
– Tor hides your IP address and allows you to bypass censorship.
– This is useful if access to Signal or ProtonMail is blocked in Russia.
I. Download the Tor browser from the official website:
II. Install and launch Tor Browser.
III. Open the ProtonMail website or install Signal via Tor.
Use disposable numbers or virtual SIM cards
– If you want to remain anonymous, use a virtual number to register for Signal or ProtonMail.
For example:
– MySudo (accessible via Tor).
– Google Voice (if available). – Local virtual number services (e.g. Hottelecom).
File transfer Use ProtonMail (https://proton.me/mail) to transfer files. You can also use OnionShare to transfer files.
I. Download OnionShare: (https://onionshare.org).
II. Launch the program, select the file and send the generated .onion link to the recipient.
III. The recipient will open the link via Tor Browser.
